Mr. Schoell has over 20 years experience in engineering, implementing and operating voice and data networks in the telecommunications industry. Included in this was seven years experience designing RF and Microwave band hardware devices for numerous telecommunications applications.
He was formerly the Vice President of Engineering for Ubiquitel. He originally joined Ubiquitel in September 2000 as Director of Engineering. He was responsible for the RF, fixed network and switch engineering functions across all five Ubiquitel/Sprint affiliate markets. The activities included three Greenfield and two growth designs to existing networks. The results were some of the fastest times to market with the best call quality performance metrics at 50% below capital cost as compared to industry trends. In October 2004, he was appointed Vice President of Engineering. In addition to continued success within the engineering discipline, he developed and managed capital and operating budgets, evaluated, deployed, and optimized several key technology platforms including EVDO and 1XRTT for CDMA markets.
Prior to joining Ubiquitel, from 1994 to 2000, Mr. Schoell served as Manager Network Engineering, System Performance and Radio frequency Planning Manager. He developed and executed an aggressive $50M TDMA digital network deployment and growth plan. He refined and standardized system parameters and network optimization programs resulting in performance metrics being at historical low points.
Mr. Schoell holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master Degree in Engineering Management, as well as a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering all from Drexel University. |
